Our beloved brother passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014, at the age of 61 after a courageous battle with cancer. Daryl was born on April 23, 1953, in Cullman, AL.
He moved with his family to Morgan Hill, CA in 1957. After graduating from Live Oak High School in 1971, he soon enlisted in the Army, where he spent six years of his military career stationed in Germany.
Later omn. he worked as a painter by trade amd as a security guard at Eagle Ridge, and more recently for G4S at Union Bank in Salinas.
Over the years, Daryl made many cherished friends including co-workers and customers that came across his path; many of whom were a comfort and support to him, and an influence in his Christian faith.
During his illness, Daryl’s family cared for him in his home for several months, and he spent his final days in V.A. Hospice Care Center at the Veteran’s Hospital, Palo Alto. He enjoyed excellent care from the doctors, nurses, and dedicated staff; a blessing to him and his family, and we are truly grateful!
Daryl is survived by his son Daryl D. Hudson, Jr. and four grandchildren, along with his loving and devoted brothers and sisters: Charles Hudson (Cathy), Charlene Sevcik (Richard), Patricia Silacci-Behrens (Bob), Cecilia Harden, and Chester Hudson (Linda), along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
