Dear Editor:

This year, the Gilroy Foundation held it’s annual Holiday Gathering at the historic Willey Cultural Center on Fifth Street.

The house is decorated in a beautiful Victorian style, with garlands and lights throughout. The atmosphere added to our celebration of a wonderful year of donations and volunteering to the Foundation. This Saturday, Dec. 7, the City of Gilroy is putting on “A Victorian Christmas — A Living History”, which will be held at the Willey House and the historic Museum.

In addition, other buildings, also rich in history, will be available to tour. There will be music, crafts to purchase, entertainment, refreshments and even Father Christmas will be there. The cost is only $10 per adult, children under 10 are free and must be accompanied by an adult. Thanks to the Community Service Department for his great opportunity for Gilroy area residents to explore some of the jewels of our historic downtown.
