Rosa Maria Saldana died in her home in Los Banos on Oct. 13. She was 78 years old. Rosa Maria Saldana, born in Carreras, Mexico, attended local schools in Mexico during her youth. In 1945, she graduated from the Bible College. Missionary work brought her to the United States, where she met her husband, Andres C. Saldana. They married in 1953 and had one daughter and three sons while living in Visalia. The family moved to Los Banos in 1963. Rosa Marie was very involved with her church and was a member of Iglesia De Dios. She is survived by her sons Andrew Saldana of Laguna Niguel and Samuel Saldana of San Jose; brother Pilar Saucedo of Los Banos; and grandchildren Joshua, Samuel M., and Stephanie Saldana. Services are under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapel, and will be held Today at 7 p.m. and Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 9:30 a.m. at Iglesia De Dios, 415 “I” St., Los Banos.
