GILROY – MTE Productions rallied for two runs in the top of the seventh inning to defeat Rosso’s 6-5 in the Gilroy Community Services Department’s Men’s DDD League opener Sunday at Las Animas Park.
Consecutive two-out singles by Tim Bolden and Julian Santiago made it 5-5. Bolden scored the game-winner on an outfield error.
Pasqual Cid delivered a two-run single and Rich Haun clubbed a single and triple for MTE Productions. Josh Gonzales and Ralph Ortiz each went 2-for-3 and scored twice for Rosso’s.
Kevin Giodanengo went 4-for-4 and drove in four runs to propel Moe’s Misfits past Victory Outreach Loonatix. Moses Guerrero Jr. went 4-for-4 and plated two Misfit runs. John Jimenez drove in three Loonatix runs with a home run, triple and single.
Greg Brazil and Roger McCauley each went 3-for-3 to key a 9-6 Campbell’s Towing victory over No Soup For You. Vince Casa scored three Campbell’s runs. Rich Furtado slapped a two-run triple for No Soup For You.
Jose Palacios went 4-for-4 and Art Del Valle added a solo homer to lead Dr. Manalili’s to a 12-4 win over Team FX in the Co-Rec B League opener. Clint Wheeler went 3-for-3, George Smith 3-for-4 for Team FX.
Warren Gaspar drove in seven runs with two homers, a triple and single as Feather Haven Mill defeated Dutchman’s-Big Kahunas 18-11. John DeCarlo Jr. went 4-for-4 for the winners. Shaun Cronk and Jess Alonzo provided three hits apiece for Big Kahunas, with Cheryl Kern 2-for-2 with two RBI.
OMI opened the Men’s CC League season with a 19-18 squeaker over Handmade Healthcare Monday at Gavilan Sports Park.
Norm MacVicar’s RBI-single in the top of the seventh gave Handmade an 18-17 edge. OMI responded with a Tom Martinez Jr. single, a Junior Martinez triple and a Josh Martinez single in the bottom of the seventh.
Jess Lopez Sr. and Mark Dean each went 4-for-4 for Handmade.
Alex Garcia hit two home runs to pace Earthquake Cement to a 5-2 win over Inland Container. Hector Polanco went 3-for-3 for Inland Container.
Joel Vaca homered twice to help BC Crew past B&T Farms 16-8. Daniel Garcia went 3-for-3 for the winners, Mike Blundo and Roy Alba both 3-for-4 for B&T Farms.
Krazy Koyote opened the Men’s CCC League season with a 32-5 nod over Countryside Daycare Center Monday at Las Animas Park. Anthony Morales homered in a six-RBI effort for the Koyotes. Brett Scott went 2-for-3 for Countryside.
Rene Sanchez homered in a 4-for-5 performance to spark VFW Vets to a 26-4 win over Pratt-Whitney Comes From Behind. Don Carrera and Jaime Miranda each went 2-for-2 for Pratt-Whitney.
Two Men’s CCC League games scheduled for Christmas Hill Park on Monday were postponed.
