– The Gilroy High track team has three athletes at today’s
Stanford Invite track and field meet.
After medaling at last weekend’s West Valley Relays in Saratoga,
Frank Valadez, Robert Best and Sierra Barrosa head to Stanford.
Gilroy – The Gilroy High track team has three athletes at today’s Stanford Invite track and field meet.
After medaling at last weekend’s West Valley Relays in Saratoga, Frank Valadez, Robert Best and Sierra Barrosa head to Stanford.
Valadez took a first place in the high jump with a leap of 6-2 1/4, Best was first in the shot put (49-11) and second in the discus (142-00), while Barrosa, Gilroy’s only female athlete at the Relays, took a third in the discus (96-04).
The varsity boys placed 5th overall at the Relays.
