South County residents can once again visit Henry Coe State Park, which was partially closed since the September Lick fire. Portions of the park, which re-opened Saturday, were closed when the fire began for safety reasons and what rangers term “cultural resource protection.”
Environmental scientists and park rangers will monitor the park’s re-growth over the next few years. To view photos and learn about the research, visit www.coefire2007.info/content/panos.html.
