A 35-year-old San Jose man believed to be responsible for the January robbery of a Gilroy Bank of America branch was arrested Wednesday after a teller in a Menlo Park Bank of America recognized him as a possible suspect, police said.

The employee called Menlo Park police who contacted Adam Vincent Pascucci near the bank. Los Altos police then identified Pascucci from photographs related to a Jan. 22 robbery of the Los Altos Bank of America, police said.

In addition to the Jan. 15 robbery of the Bank of American on Camino Arroyo, Pascucci is believed to be responsible for additional robberies at a San Jose Bank of America and a Dublin Bank of America. He was arrested without incident.

About 9:30 a.m., on the morning of Jan. 15, a man walked into the Bank of America at 7111 Camino Arroyo Drive and demanded money. The man made motions to his jacket pocket that would indicate he had a weapon but none were seen. The man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. He fled in southerly direction through the parking lot shared by Lowe’s.

Pascucci is currently on probation and investigators recovered additional evidence from his residence. He is being held at the Santa Clara County Main Jail without bail.

Gilroy Police Detectives have interviewed Pascucci regarding the Gilroy Bank of America robbery and will submit the investigation to the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office for criminal prosecution.
