Stolen vehicle

A 2000 silver Honda Civic was stolen, between 6 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Oct. 27, on the 13000 block of Monterey Road in San Martin from the Caltrain parking lot.

Vandalism

A swastika was painted on a stop sign, between 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Oct. 27, on the corner of California Avenue and Monterey Road in San Martin.

The windows of a 1995 blue Chrysler New Yorker were broken, between 4:30 p.m. Oct. 20 and 5:30 p.m. Oct. 21, on the 40 block of West San Martin Avenue in San Martin, causing about $500 in damage.

The window of a retail shop was broken, between 10 a.m. Oct. 19 and 7:10 a.m. Oct. 21, on the 13200 block of Monterey Road in San Martin, causing about $1,500 in damage.

Auto burglary

A compact disc player and other miscellaneous items were stolen from a 2005 blue Honda Civic, between 6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Oct. 23, parked in a Gavilan College parking lot. The burglars smashed the passenger side window.

A car stereo, worth $200, was stolen from a 2002 tan Saturn sedan, between 6:20 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. Oct. 22, on the 5000 block of Santa Teresa Boulevard. The burglars smashed one of the car’s windows, causing about $500 in damage.

Petty theft

A woman’s paycheck was stolen, between 12:01 a.m. Sept. 16 and 11:59 Oct. 1, on the 100 block of Ogier Avenue in Morgan Hill.

Theft by credit card

A Gilroy man’s credit card was charged $730 in purchases, between 12 a.m. Aug. 14 and 12 a.m. Oct. 3.
