Auto burglary
A white iPhone worth $400 and other items were stolen from a green Ford F150, between 9:30 p.m. Thursday and 8:15 a.m. Friday, on the 1600 block of Chris Lane in San Martin. The front passenger window was smashed.
Unattended death, suicide
An 81-year-old man committed suicide, 12:55 a.m. Nov. 10, on the 23700 block of McKean Road in San Jose, after learning he may have had lung cancer. The man’s daughter found him after he shot himself in the chest with a rifle. Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Fraudulent use of credit card
Someone charged $179 to a San Martin man’s credit card, between 12:01 a.m. Dec. 1, 2007 and 11:59 p.m. Aug. 12.
