The Kings outlasted the Mustangs 16-13 Saturday in Boys 5-6 Grade Youth Basketball play at Solorsano Gymnasium.
Nicholas Zertuche and Daniel Ordaz each scored four points to propel the Kings offense.
The Green Warriors topped the Gold Lakers 38-22 in 5-6 competition. Eddie Tinoco and Andrei Arroyo pocketed eight points apiece for the Lakers. Bryan Velasquez added four points and three rebounds for the Lakers.
The Black Gators stopped the Red Chaos 20-14. Chris McCann popped in six points and Jose Martinez recorded three blocks for Chaos.
The Super Stars trimmed the Sharks 16-14 as Cameron Childers popped in six points in co-rec third-girls’ 4 play. Anna Gamboa contributed four points for the winners.
The Lakers added an 18-8 win over the Warriors as Sarah Weiby and Christa Arroyo each scored four points. Shay Patel and Andrew Nguyen each scored four Warrior points.
The Red Blazers edged the Purple Rain 18-16 behind six points from Justin Soseman in boys’ fourth grade action. Joel Gonzalez and Jimmy Lemberger notched four points apiece. Brevin Zollinger pulled down eight rebounds.
The Jaws defeated the Celtics 34-6 as Jonny Olvera struck for 10 points and Brnadon Ellenberg added eight. Seth Berry, Christian Lopez and Trevor Cabrera each scored two Celtic points.
Daniella Sandoval scored six points as the Hurricanes and Purple Lady Lakers battled to a 15-15 tie.
Jefferey Carr scored nine points and Alex Rojas added four as the Orange Crush topped the Gamecocks 17-10 in boys’ 7-8 play. Anthony Littrell-Garcia pulled down seven rebounds for the Crush.
The Gamecocks came back to defeat the Warriors 44-24 as Alexander Gutierrez rushed to 12 points and Brandon David added 10.
