The Co-Rec C League began a 10-week campaign Sunday with a 4-3 victory by El Fuego over Hi-Energy Networks.
Juan Martinez of El Fuego lined a two-run single in the fifth inning to snap a 2-2 tie. Doralea Sanchez went 2-for-2 and scored twice for the winners. Isaac Sepulveda doubled and Joe Tovar scored two runs for Hi-Energy.
Blackout Window Tinting edged Anritsu 7-6 when Serf Mancera singled and scored on an infield roller in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Mancera scored two three runs and Danny Rubio doubled and singled for Blackout. Ruben Sanchez went 3-for-3, Henry Maquinalez 3-for-4 for Anritsu. JC Ceballos scored two Anritsu runs.
Jay Gonzalez’ second home run of the game produced two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and a 16-15 win for Lozano’s Dirty Ghetto Boys over Los Gigantes in Men’s C League play Monday.
Don Rose powered a three-run homer, double and sacrifice fly for Lozano’s. Rosendo Acevedo went 4-for-4 and Noe DeLaTorre and Jeremy Page each homered for Los Gigantes.
Isaiah “Zay” Gonzalez went 3-for-3 and Mike Sandoval homered to key a 5-4 Most Wanted nod over DS Builders. Kurt Simmons went 3-for-3 and Kyle Kretz doubled and singled for DS Builders.
Fred Gomez plated Robert Sanchez with a single in the bottom of the seventh as C&R Communications produced three runs for a 14-13 win over the VFW Vets.
Gomez went 4-for-5, Rion Alnas homered and Jordan Schuyler went 3-for-4 for C&R. Jay Contreras and Joe Cano hit two-out home runs in an eight-run uprising for VFW Vets in the top of the seventh inning. Cody Wilson and Greg Lugo each went 3-for-3 and Danny Melendez added a three-run home run for the Vets.
