Held at the Fremont School on Fourth Street in Hollister, the local boxing event will also have semi-main event fight between Gilroy’s Elizabeth Rodriguez and Fresno’s Jasmine Chacon.
Former two-time IBF Featherweight champion Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero is expected to be attendance to sign autographs to those who show for the free event, according to organizer Zeke Lopez of the Bull Dog Boxing Gym in Hollister.
“We did it last year and it was pretty good,” Lopez said. “Hopefully, everything will go good, if not better (than last year). It should be pretty good.”
Guerrero’s brother, Randy, will fight Alanzo Newberry from Fresno and is expected to be the second fight of the day.
Other fights include Mario Rostro (Paso Robles) v. Phillip Bribiescas (Hollister); Mike Fernandez (San Francisco) v. David Riez (Parlier); Matt Bribiescas v. Carey White (Sacramento); Joe Chacon (Fresno) v. Cesar Contreras (Paso Robles); Edgar Gutierrez (Salinas) v. Gary Salazar (Fresno); Carlos Puga (Salinas) v. Luis Villagomez (Fresno); Jose Jimenez (Salinas) v. Eros Corroa (San Jose).
Tentative fights include Jonathon Casaca (Hollister) against Luis Embrosio (Fresno) and Jesus Gomez (Gilroy) against an unnamed fighter from Visalia.
Fights begin at 4 p.m.
