Two masked suspects armed with handguns held up employees at a Gilroy Premium Outlets store early Friday morning, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to the Gilroy Police Department.
As two workers at the Gap store on San Ysidro Avenue closed up shop around 1:30 a.m., two suspects wearing ski masks brandished their weapons at the employees, forcing them back into the store and stealing money from a safe, police said.
The suspects were described as between 5-feet-5 and 5-feet-8-inches tall with slim builds, GPD Sgt. Chad Gallacinao said. Along with their black ski masks, the suspects donned black hooded sweatshirts and dark pants, Gallacinao said.
He said the store employees were not injured.

Woman arrested for battery at Armory
A 47-year-old woman was arrested Sunday night at the National Guard Armory on Wren Avenue in Gilroy after allegedly striking a private security guard, according to GPD.
Armory staff told police they asked Linnise Pleasant, a transient, to leave the center after he became belligerent and began arguing with other individuals there. When she refused to leave, private security was called to escort her out, police said.
Pleasant refused to leave, however, and struck the guard in the face, according to police. When police arrived, they arrested Pleasant and booked her into the Santa Clara County Main Jail in San Jose on suspicion of battery and trespassing.
The security sustained some “redness” to his face from the strike, but did not require medical attention, police said.
