Police arrested a man at a Monterey Road motel room Saturday morning after a fight between gang members, according to the Gilroy Police Department.

The GPD arrested Vicente Audias Rodriguez, 22, at the Oaks Motel after police were called to a report of a gang fight at 6:53 a.m.

After police arrived and made contact with the men involved, the men identified themselves as gang members, GPD Officer Amanda Stanford said.

During a patdown search, police discovered a 9-inch screwdriver in Rodriguez’s pocket and he was booked for possession of a weapon, according to the GPD.
