The Cougars won their fourth straight Monterey Bay League game, dispatching Monterey 2-1 on Tuesday in Gilroy.

Katherine Bright and Jaime Lanz notched the Christopher goals.

The on-a-roll Cougars (6-7, 5-4) are now planted in third place in the MBL with three tilts to play, including a home contest against second-place North Monterey County on Thursday and first-place Watsonville on the road next Tuesday.

CHS suffered one-goal defeats to both teams earlier this season – 3-2 to North County and 2-1 to Watsonville.
