Irene F. Perez, 82, who was born and raised in Gilroy, CA, passed away June 28, 2011, in her Gilroy home.
She was the beloved wife of the late Jerry Perez, mother of Geraldine Perez and Paula Orosco, daughter to Damasio and Geraldine Diaz, sister to six brothers and six sisters, grandmother “Nana” of eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and friend to many.
Irene’s final days were spent surrounded by love, family and friends that she had touched more than words can express. She was a recognized hard working woman who worked at the Gilroy Cannery as a supervisor for over 50 years.
Although she loved spending time with family and friends she was an avid Bingo player who enjoyed taking her bus trips to Reno, NV with family and friends.
Irene will be extremely missed and never forgotten, may you forever rest in peace… we love you always and you will always be in our hearts!
Visitation will be held at 8:30 A.M. –9:30 A.M. on Tuesday July 5, 2011, at the Habing Family Funeral Home, mass at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
