“I was reading the key note speaker Sean LaGuardia’s speech in the grad section and I was just wondering if you edited out the remarks he made about Jack Daley and the rousing round of applause the crowd gave him. It seems to me that was left out of his speech and I was wondering why.”
Red Phone: Dear Fact Checker, You have good eyes. We’re surprised you noticed. Because all the speeches that ran in our grad section on June 14 had to be turned in before the graduation on June 10, speakers had some leniency with the direction they wanted to go.
The Dispatch ran the speeches exactly as they were sent to us. Our editors did not remove any references to Daley. It appears this was a last-minute or extemporaneous addition by LaGuardia.
What is the tower for?

Red Phone: Dear Wondered, Red Phone wondered as well. Morgan Hill City Manager Ed Tewes said that building is a Santa Clara County Sheriff Office communications tower.
