Michele Lee May, 47 of Morgan Hill, passed away October 21, 2011, at Kaiser Santa Teresa Hospital in San Jose.
She was born to Steven and Sharon Martin in Orange, New Jersey. Michele spent time growing up in New Jersey and Arizona eventually planting roots in the San Jose area.
Michele attended Santa Teresa High and graduated from Live Oak High School in 1982 in Morgan Hill. She spent time in the medical field and restaurant service industry before eventually finding her passion teaching special needs children and adults.
She married her husband Rick May in 1999 and lived in Morgan Hill. She was a loving mom, devoted wife, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed music, singing and playing guitar. Michele enjoyed weekend getaways to Monterey and other family excursions.
Michele is survived by her husband, Richard May, her Grandmother, Dorothy E. Murphy of Virginia, her mother Sharon Petersen, her brothers, Wayne Martin, Jack Walsh, and Matt Walsh, her sisters, Jennifer Kunzelman, and Tracey Demarco, her daughters, Bailey Marie Adams, and Dallas Murphy May, her son Cody James Edsel Steffenson, and her granddaughter Sophia Marie Adams.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 5th at 1:00 P.M. at Johnson Funeral Home, 17720 Monterey Road, Morgan Hill, CA (408)779-8456
