Maria Valverde and Chris Miracle are engaged to be married.
Maria, daughter of M. Isabel Valverde and Armando Valverde, both of Gilroy, is a 2000 graduate of Gilroy High School. She attended Gavilan College and transferred to San Jose State University.
Chris, son of Linda Bryan of Fremont and Dale Miracle of Gilroy, is a 2000 graduate of Irvington High School in Fremont. He attended Gavilan College and transferred to San Francisco State.
Chris and Maria met in 2001 and began dating in 2003. The became engaged in 2010 and are planning to wed in spring 2011.
Realini/Grover
Rachael Grover and Dustin Realini are engaged to be married.
Rachael, daughter of Steven and Sharon Grover, is a 2005 graduate of Cardinal High School in Middlefield, Ohio. She is currently attending Kent State University Nursing School and will graduate in May.
Dustin, son of Rob and Lauri Realini, is a 2002 graduate of Valley Christian High School and a 2006 graduate of Santa Clara University. He played professional baseball for the Cleveland Indians from 2006 to 2009 and currently works with the Quail Hollow Country Club in Concord, Ohio.
Dustin lived in Cupertino and Morgan Hill before moving to Ohio in 2010. Dustin and Rachael met while Dustin was playing baseball for the Lake County Captains in East Lake, Ohio in 2008.
The couple plans a July 9, 2011 wedding in Middlefield, Ohio.

Cecilia ‘Nana’ Martinez recently celebrated her 100th birthday. Born March 1, 1911, Cecilia moved to Gilroy with her husband, the late Thomas “Tata” Martinez in 1945.
Frank and Betty Blundo, Ruby Estorga, Michael Estorga, Robert and Tina Estorga, Sarah Estorga, Casey Estorga, Abrem and Wendy Estorga, and great-great grandson Seth Estorga wish her a happy 100th birthday, with love.

Bradley Meier
Air Force Airman Bradley M. Meier graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate’s degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Meier earned distinction as an honor graduate.
He is the son of Michael Meier of W. of Mountain House, and Holly Trevathan of Gilroy. The airman graduated in 2007 from Fremont High School in Sunnyvale.
Christian Rouldan
Christian Rouldan, of Morgan Hill, was named to the Dean’s List at Boston University for the fall semester.
Boston University is the fourth largest independent university in the United States, with an enrollment of more than 29,000 students in its 17 schools and colleges.
Chien-Hao Chen
Chien-Hao Chen, class of 2011, of Morgan Hill, was named to Cushing Academy’s Honor Roll for the 2010 fall term. To be awarded honors, students must be earn a grade point average between 3.3 and 3.6 for the term.
Steven Coe
