Garlic Festival Queen Pageant at Gavilan

The annual Garlic Festival Queen Pageant, which will decide this year’s winner, will take place at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Gavilan College Theater, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd. The queen and her court represent Gilroy at various festivities leading up to the July 29-31 Garlic Festival. Tickets for the pageant are $10 and are available at the Gilroy Garlic Festival office, 7473 Monterey St., or at the door. Details: 842-1625.

Passport Weekend at local wineries

Tour the area’s best wineries during Passport Weekend from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Passports are on sale for $30 and are good for both the spring and fall Passport Weekend. The tickets include a glass and entrance to the wineries. Details: santaclarawines.com.

‘Murder on the Mary Dear’ plays at Solorsano

Ascencion Solorsano Middle School presents a weekend of shows starting at 6:30 p.m. today at 7121 Grenache Way. Cost is $10. Saturday performances at 1 p.m. for $6 and at 6:30 p.m. for $10.

Blue and White Gala Benefit Auction

St. Mary School will hold its 24th annual Blue and White Gala Benefit Auction Saturday at Eagle Ridge Country Club, 2951 Club Drive. The community is invited to this semiformal event. One-act comedies at dinner theater
