The Quality Inn & Suites hotel of Gilroy recently received a prestigious 2010 Gold Hospitality Award from world lodging leader Choice Hotels International, Inc., franchisor of the Quality. As a top performing property among the company’s more than 4,900 U.S. franchised hotels, the Quality Inn & Suites hotel is among the top ten percent of properties within the Quality brand. The hotel is one of only 19 hotels within the state and one out of 59 hotels within the 1369-strong Quality brand to receive “Gold Award” status.
Gilroy Chamber ranked top five
The Western Association of Chamber Executives released survey results of 140 chambers throughout the western states and the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce received one of the top five Net Promoter Score ratings. By asking one simple question – “If you had a friend that was not a member of your chamber, would you recommend joining the chamber to your friend?” – groups are tracked to get a clear measure of an association’s performance through its members’ eyes. In 2010, the top NPS from local chambers were: Pleasant Hill (57 percent), Federal Way, Wash. (55 percent), Oakdale (53 percent), Palm Desert (52 percent), Gilroy (52 percent) and Claremont (50 percent).
