p.m. Saturday at the SVCT Warehouse, 16840 Joleen Way, Building F,
Unit F, Morgan Hill. Check-ins are half an hour before. Auditions
are open to anyone 16 or older. The show runs May 13 to June 11.

Hands-on art activities for children
Local art professionals will conduct more than 20 different workshops and hands-on activities for children ages 5 to 11 years old from 9 a.m. to 1 p..m. Saturday at Wheeler Community Center, 250 W. Sixth St. The event is free. Details: 846-0460.
Mardi Gras at Christopher High
Christopher High School presents “A Night of Mardi Gras” from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday at the Gilroy Elks Lodge, 2765 Hecker Pass Highway. There will be an auction, dinner and dance. Mardi Gras Madness fashion show
The Gilroy Elks Lodge invites you to the annual Elk’s ladies charity fashion show, “Mardi Gras Madness”, March 12 at 2765 Hecker Pass Highway. This show, which features fashions and accessories from local boutiques and stores, will be from 1 to 2 p.m. There will be no-host cocktails at 11 a.m. and a luncheon at noon. It is open to members, their family, friends and guests. All proceeds benefit the Gilroy Elks’ philanthropic efforts to help disabled children. Cost: $30 per person. Hike along the Path of the Padres
The California State Park staff at San Luis Reservoir State Recreation Area will again lead the Path of the Padres hikes starting Saturday and continuing until April 23. The hike begins at the Los Banos Creek Reservoir boat launch ramp at 8 a.m. and returns to the ramp about 3:30 p.m. Cost: $12 for adults and $7 for children ages 6 to 12. Details: (209) 826-1197.
Grad night donations being accepted

Scholarships for high school seniors
The Wineries of Santa Clara Valley are offering a scholarship of up to $1,000 to 2011 graduating high school seniors planning to attend an accredited four-year college or university. Seniors must be attending high school in Santa Clara County, or live in the county. Applications are available from guidance counselors at area high schools. Deadline is March 31.
