Grad Night meeting
Volunteers are needed for the Gilroy High School Grad Night. The second meeting will be held at 7 p.m. today at the GHS library.
College fair
South County Cal-SOAP College Fair will be hosted by Gilroy High School 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, in the GHS gym. Students of all ages and parents are invited. Raffle tickets will be given to each person in attendance upon receipt of their evaluation of the event. Over 50 California and out of state colleges will be attending. Details: 846-7504.
Celebrate Veterans Day
Veteran’s Day Ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Veterans Memorial Building, Post 6309, 74 W. Sixth Street. A free breakfast will be served from 8 to 10 a.m. Details: 848-8624.
Fund-raiser Benefits GHS club
Gilroy High School’s Interact Club is working on a benefit concert scheduled for Nov. 9. Funds raised during the concert will help the club build a school in Ghana, sustainable farming in Panama, and TB testing in Tibet.
The Interact Club is a rotary sponsored service club for teens ages 14 to 18. The program gives young people an opportunity to participate in fun, meaningful service projects while developing leadership skills and meeting new friends.
Panera Bread in Gilroy will donate a percentage of sales to the Gilroy Interact Club.

GHS Fall play on stage
Gilroy High School will be holding its fall play 7 p.m. Nov. 15 and 2 p.m. Nov. 17. Tickets will cost $5 for students and $7 for adults and will be available next week at GHS and around the community. They will also be available at the door.
The performance, put on by Sara Klopp’s drama classes, is a series of 10 mini plays. Topics include high school life, Romeo and Juliet, the board game CLUE, a Disney movie and a fairy tale. Dress rehearsals will be held 7 p.m. Nov. 13 and 14.
Creek and Watershed Conference
Please come to a Creek and Watershed conference offered by the Santa Clara County Creeks Coalition from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 17, at Pioneer High School’s Performing Arts Center. The conference will feature poster sessions by local groups, a talk by Robin Grossinger of SFEI on historical ecology, a short creek film, information on water quality monitoring by citizens and more.
Holiday Boutique in Gilroy
Come and get in the Christmas spirit at the annual St. Mary School Holiday Boutique 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. This gathering of more than 35 artisans and crafters will offer unique gift-buying opportunities in a pleasant holiday atmosphere.
Browse the handcrafts, jewelry, Christmas decorations, artwork and specialty items offered from around South County. The Holiday Boutique will be held at St. Mary School, Cullen Hall, 7900 Church St. Admission in free.
