Gilroy – Los Gigantes earned the Men’s CC League title Wednesday by defeating the Platinum Roofing Slammers 21-11 at Christmas Hill Park.

Josh Gonzalez doubled and singled in a 10-run second inning as Los Gigantes took the best 2-of-3 Championship Series in two games.

Josh Gonzalez finished with four hits and Isaiah Gonzalez homered for the champions. Anthony Corral went 4-for-4 and Jose Andrade went 3-for-3 for the Slammers.

Image & Design Salon & Day Spa-Guy’s Heating defeated Goldsmith 11-8 Wednesday to leave the Women’s C series at 1-1. The finale is tonight at Las Animas Park at 7:40pm.

Image-Guy’s erased a 6-4 deficit with four runs in the fifth inning, sparked by a three-run double by Caroline Martinez. Chrissy Ivory went 4-for-4 and Nicole Villarreal and Lena Keller each notched three hits. Irene Rivera and Esmeralda Hernandez each collected two hits and scored two Goldsmith runs.

Out To Play rallied to defeat the Big Kahunas 9-8 to complete a 2-0 Co-Rec C League series sweep Wednesday at Las Animas.

Trailing 8-1 in the fourth, Out To Play pushed across three runs. Art Naranjo Jr. lashed a two-run home run to cap the rally. Angie Macedo opened a four-run Play sixth with a triple. Linda Guillory singled and scored the winning run in the seventh for Out To Play on a Sally Hernandez hit.

John Jimenez and Rudi Groppe supplied home runs for the Big Kahunas.

Keading Performance topped DS Builders 27-3 to complete a 2-0 sweep of the Men’s C series.

Rich Perez, Joe Ojeda and Louie Catano bagged home runs for Keading. Sammy DeLeon and Gilbert Salgado each went 4-for-4 and scored four Keading runs. Eric Tollison homered and Eric Gonzalez went 2-for-2 for DS Builders.

Freddie Castaneda walked and scored on a Ted Zanella single in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Cali Boys an 8-7 nod over Five-Star Motors.

The Cali Boys and Five-Star conclude the best-of-3 series tonight in the Men’s CCC showdown at 6:30pm at Las Animas.

A.G. Gonzalez homered in a 4-for-4 effort for the Cali Boys. Phil Ruiz homered for Five-Star.
