Dinner Benefits San Martin Alliance
Gilroy – The 5th Annual Spaghetti Social, presented by the San Martin Neighborhood Alliance, will be held at the San Martin Lion’s Club Hall, 12415 Murphy Ave., San Martin, starting at 5pm today. Food, fun, and entertainment, exciting raffle, including 50/50 for cash. Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for children. Reserve a seat early.

Enter Teen Poetry Contest
Gilroy – Enter the April Teen Poetry Contest at the Gilroy Library. One winner from middle school and one from high school will be chosen. The deadline is today. Winners will receive a cash prize of $25 and will be entered into a national contest for possible publication.

Morgan Hill – The Morgan Hill Flower Lover’s Club (including Gilroy and San Martin) present “Flowers R Us” from 11am to 4pm today and Sunday at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road. Admission is free.
Breakfast Will Benefit Students
Gilroy – Branch 28 of the Italian Catholic Federation presents it’s semi-annual scholarship breakfast from 7:30 to 11:30am Sunday, in Cullen Hall 11, First St., Gilroy.
Tickets may be purchased at the door. Donation is $5 for adults and $3 for children younger than 12. Proceeds benefit branch 28 scholarship programs and other ICF charities.

Bocce and Barbecue Benefit
Los Gatos – Put together your corporate Bocce Team for a good cause and come join the fun at the Fifth Annual Spring Lamb Barbecue.
This event takes place today at Campo di Bocce Restaurant, 565 University Ave., Los Gatos.

Eat, Dance and Celebrate
Gilroy – The South Valley Music Makers third anniversary celebration is 1pm, today at the Bradshaws, 1244 Sycamore Court. Event is a potluck. Due to the volume of people who attend this event, it will begin with 10-minute sets for the experienced players and five-minute sets for the less experienced. When everyone has had a chance to play, the group can go around again.

Sister City Dinner, Auction
Gilroy – The Gilroy Sister Cities Association is holding an International Dinner and Auction Saturday, May 5 at the IFDES Portuguese Lodge, 250 Old Gilroy St. It begins with a social hour at 6pm. Dinner will be served at 7pm, followed by an auction at 8:45pm. Donation is $30.
