Soccer: Del Mar edges CHS girls out of playoffs, 1-0

Christopher High’s girls soccer team saw its season end in heartbreaking fashion Wednesday, as the Cougars suffered a 1-0 loss at undefeated Del Mar in the first round of the Central Coast Section Division II playoffs.

The Cougars had a chance to tie the match off a corner kick with about 5 minutes remaining, but were unable to convert in finishing the season 10-7-3 overall.

Del Mar (17-0-4) advanced to play Los Altos (11-5-3) in the quarterfinals Saturday.
