Robert Guerrero is ready to get back in the ring.

The Gilroy fighter, who coming off a loss to Floyd Mayweather last month, has challenged Victor Ortiz.

Guerrero (31-2-1, 18 KO) sent text messages to Ortiz (29-4-2, 22 KO) saying that they should fight to determine “who’s Cali’s best.” A snapshot of the conversation was posted by Guerrero on his Twitter page.

Guerrero told Ortiz to have his manager call his and that he shouldn’t fight Shane Mosley — who was rumored to be fighting later this year — because he’s “old and done.”

Ortiz accepted Guerrero’s challenge by replying  “I can do that for sure broham…”

Guerrero, determined to make this fight happen, continued to call out Ortiz publicly by tweeting at him.

“@VICIOUSortiz Are you going to answer the fans now publicly? Do you want it that bad? I do.” The message went unanswered by his challenger.

Ortiz has not fought since June 2012 when his jaw was broken in a match against Josesito Lopez.
