Rec Softball: Eight-league program set to begin

The eight-league Adult Spring-Summer Softball Program begins a 12-game season next week with a tripleheader at Christmas Hill Park for the Tuesday Men’s DD League.
Walton & Sons Masonry plays the Borrachos in the season opener at 6:30 p.m. Freddie Sanchez Hardwood Floors and the 953 Boys meet at 7:40 p.m. Sons of Pitches play North Bound in the 8:50 p.m. finale.
Six men’s slow-pitch leagues, one women’s league and one co-rec league will compete through the July playoffs. All games are played at Christmas Hill and Las Animas Veterans parks.
The Wednesday games include the Women’s League at Christmas Hill and a Men’s E League at Las Animas. The Thursday lineup has a Men’s E League at Christmas Hill and a Men’s EE League at Las Animas.
Friday play includes a Men’s DD League at Christmas Hill and an EE League at Las Animas. Sunday has a seven-team Co-Rec League playing Sunday evenings at Las Animas.
