GILROY
Rumors that Gilroy City Councilman Peter Leroe-Muñoz intends to resign from City Council after his wedding this summer are untrue, he said Friday.
“That may be wishful thinking on some people’s parts,” laughed Leroe-Muñoz. “I intend to stay until the end of my term.”
Leroe-Muñoz’s term expires in November 2014 and he isn’t ruling out running again.
“I haven’t made a decision yet,” he said. “But this is something I definitely enjoy doing.”
Working with the different people in the community and planning for Gilroy’s future, Leroe-Muñoz explained, make his role on the Council extremely rewarding.
When pressed about his future nuptial bliss, Leroe-Muñoz stated that he and his future wife intend to make their home in Gilroy.
