PREP ROUNDUP: CHS volleyball upends GHS

Tommy Cox carded 9-over-par 45 to lead Gilroy High’s boys golf team to a fourth-place team finish in a Monterey Bay League Pacific Division match Tuesday at Salinas Fairways Golf Course.

Gilroy was fourth with a team total of 256, behind Everett Alvarez (231), host Alisal (237) and North Monterey County (239).

Medalist honors went to Alvarez’s Christian Ibadlit, who shot 39.

 

BASEBALL

Brennan Wilson had two hits, but Christopher High’s baseball team suffered a 2-0 loss to Salinas at Washington on Tuesday.

Pat Valdez added a hit and a stolen base for the Cougars.
