SALINAS – Megan Donahoe knew she had it in her. It all fell into
place Monday at the Tri Country Athletic League tournament.
Donahoe shot a 96 on the Par 72 course at the Salinas Golf and
Country Club, earning her a spot at next Tuesday’s Central Coast
Section playoffs held at Rancho Canada.
SALINAS – Megan Donahoe knew she had it in her. It all fell into place Monday at the Tri Country Athletic League tournament.
Donahoe shot a 96 on the Par 72 course at the Salinas Golf and Country Club, earning her a spot at next Tuesday’s Central Coast Section playoffs held at Rancho Canada.
“I was thinking I could do it, but I’ve never been close,” Donahoe said. “I’m just going to go there to have fun and enjoy the moment.”
Head coach Trudi Souza said that the Mustangs as a team scored much lower than last year at the TCALs. She added that the team, “is very excited for Megan.”
Salinas took the team title, finishing ahead of Santa Catalina and Stevenson.
