GILROY – The Coast Conference football opener between the visiting DeAnza Dons and the Gavilan Rams was postponed Saturday night.
Two of the three banks of lights on the west side of Garcia-Elder Sports Complex were not functioning, leading to 90 minutes of delays before the game was postponed. Originally set for a 7:00pm kick-off, the postponement was determined at 8:40pm.
No new date for the contest was immediately announced, although the game will definitely not be played this weekend.
