Injury accident

An orange 1988 Dodge 150 ran through a stop sign going southbound on Eigleberry Street and collided with a green 2005 Cheverolet traveling eastbound on Sixth Street, 10:27 a.m. March 5. The driver of the second car was transported to the hospital with chest pain.

A skateboarder rode into the side of a van as it was making a turn onto Byers Street from Wren Avenue. The skateboarder had minor injuries and was released by paramedics at the scene, 3:56 p.m. Sunday.

ID theft

An unidentified person used another person’s social security number to obtain employment between Jan. 1, 2003 and Nov. 6, 2008 on Monterey Street.

A woman on Ervin Court reported that an unknown thief used her personal information to open several bank accounts, 4:46 p.m. Friday.

Assault

Two unidentified people got into a physical fight on First Street, 12:14 a.m. March 5.

An unidentified person approached a man in the Costco parking lot and punched him once in the stomach, 3:55 p.m. Friday. The assailant was angry with the victim over a prior accident in the Costco parking lot and fled prior to the arrival of police.

Two unidentified people were involved in a verbal argument on Desiderio Way, 4:58 p.m. Sunday. The stepfather of one of the people fighting intervened and was beat up by one of the people fighting. The assailant left the scene prior to police arrival and is still at large.

Fraud

An unidentified person on Broadway Street had more than $100 fraudulently taken from his Bank of America checking account, Feb. 5.

Missing juvenile

A juvenile was reported missing from IOOF Avenue, 3 p.m. March 5.

A juvenile was reported missing from Farrell Avenue, 7:30 p.m. March 4.

A female juvenile was reported missing from IOOF Avenue, 4:25 p.m. Saturday.

A juvenile was reported missing from IOOF Avenue, 10:37 a.m. Sunday.

Petty theft

Three unidentified females stole a small Roxy black jacket valued at $60 and a Zumiez shirt valued at $20 from the Zumiez Outlet, 4:17 p.m. March 5.

A thief or thieves stole a red Sony CD player, a CD audio deck player, an MP3/CD audio player and gray amp, total value of $230, from a gold 1988 Acura Integra on Princevalle Street, between 12:01 p.m. March 5 and 5:45 a.m. Friday.

A petty theft report was filed on Monterey Street, 3 p.m. March 5.

Graffiti

Juveniles tagged property on Welburn Avenue and Westwood Drive, 10:12 p.m. March 5.

Commercial burglary

A thief broke a commercial washing machine on Broadway Street while trying to steal money, between 8 a.m. March 3 and 11:20 a.m. March 6.

Narcotics

Officers executed a search warrant for cocaine on Parrish Way, 7:20 a.m. Saturday. The unidentified suspect was not at the home, but unidentified items were recovered as evidence.

Stolen vehicle

A thief or thieves stole a 1991 Green Toyota from Fourth and Monterey streets, 1:51 a.m. Saturday.

Trespassing

A juvenile was arrested for trespassing after he refused to leave the Gilroy Library, 3:25 p.m. Saturday.

Grand theft

A thief or thieves stole a porter cable red small compressor valued at $200 and a Dewalt power saw value at $250 from a truck bed of a tan 2002 Ford F15 and a maroon 2002 Ford, 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

Auto burglary

A thief or thieves stole a $700 stereo CD player from a 2005 Hyundai on Princevalle Street, 6:30 a.m. Friday.

A thief or thieves stole a $50 portable XM satellite radio receiver and power adapter from a gold 2000 Hyundai Accent on Monterey Street, between 7:45 a.m. and 5:50 p.m. March 5.

A thief or thieves stole a set of keys, $10 in quarters and a backpack filled with karate documents from a tan 2001 Toyota Corolla near Westwood Drive and First Street, between 9:30 p.m. March 4 and 4:40 p.m. March 5.

Hit and run

A hit and run incident on Leavesley Road involving a silver 2001 Nissan was reported, 7:45 a.m. Friday.

A hit and run incident on San Ysidro involving a green 2001 Dodge 150 was reported, 2 p.m. March 4.

Vandalism

A vandalism report was filed on Hanna Street, 7:30 p.m. March 5.
