J.R. was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Feb. 27, 1943 and raised in Riverton, Wyoming. He spent the last 38 years of his life in Hollister, California.
J.R. is survived by his wife of 38 years, Susanne Menzel Guthrie and their son Cade and grandson Benjamin of Lodi, CA. He is also survived by sons John and Tim Guthrie and grandson Christopher of Wyoming.
At the request of J.R. there will be no services. The family requests that donations in his memory be made to the Hazel Hawkins Hospital or the William and Inez Mabie Skilled Nursing Facility c/o the funeral home at 870 San Benito St., Hollister 95023
