Police Blotter: Recent arrests made in Gilroy and Morgan Hill

Two people were involved in an argument on IOOF Avenue, 8:40
p.m. June 30. The man pushed the woman out of his residence. When
she insisted on not leaving, she tried to push her way back inside.
But she lost her balance during the struggle and her right arm went
through a window, causing two lacerations to her forearm.
Animal

A wounded deer was humanely dispatched on Hecker Pass Highway, 5:39 a.m. June 26.

Stolen vehicle

A thief or thieves took a white 1992 Honda Civic, license no. 4TOE231, that was parked and locked in front of the 900 block of MonteBello Drive, between 11 p.m. June 25 and 6:30 a.m. June 26.

A thief or thieves stole a black 1990 Honda Accord on Muir Drive and a set of Callow Fusion golf clubs valued at $600, between 10:30 p.m. June 26 and 2:15 p.m. June 27.

A thief or thieves stole a 1992 Toyota Paseo, license no. 2XFP898, 1:14 a.m. June 28.

A thief or thieves stole a white 1997 GMC from a gated warehouse lot on Mayock Road, between 10 p.m. June 29 and 4:30 a.m. June 30.

Forgery

An unidentified person cashed a check for $75 on Santa Teresa Boulevard, between June 21 and 25.

Auto burglary

A burglar or burglars broke the passenger side of black 2004 Lincoln on Westwood Drive and stole a wallet with license, credit cards and debit cards, between 11:30 p.m. June 25 and 6 a.m. June 26. One of the victim’s credit cards was used to make a $50 purchase through Verizon Wireless.

A burglar or burglars stole a Macintosh laptop valued at $1,300 from a car on Monterey Street, between 8:30 and 10 a.m. June 29.

A burglar or burglars stole a muffler and catalytic converters from a white 1989 Toyota on Fourth Street, between 7 p.m. June 28 and 2:30 p.m. June 29.

Petty theft

A thief or thieves stole a rear license plate from a blue 2001 Hyundai on the 8100 block of Kelton Drive, between 11 p.m. June 22 and 8:30 a.m. June 23.

A thief or thieves entered a vehicle on Lewis Street through an unlocked door and removed the victim’s Guess purse valued at $80, a yellow diaper bag valued at $30, a detachable Sony CD plate valued at $150 and a case of $20 CDs valued at $200, 9:15 p.m. June 27.

A thief or thieves stole $42.70 worth of gasoline from First Street, 8:24 a.m. June 28.

A thief or thieves stole a Mongoose bike with a black frame and orange stickers valued at $200 from Maple Street, between 5:30 and 6 a.m. June 30.

A thief or thieves stole a black Blackberry phone valued at $150 and a silver Easy Share camera valued at $100 from Santa Theresa Drive, 11:50 p.m. June 26.

A thief or thieves stole an Amazon Kindle valued at $250 on Quail Walk Drive, between 9 p.m. June 26 and 5 a.m. June 27.

A thief or thieves stole a Dawes SST bike with a skinny black frame and bullhorn on the handlebars valued at $340 from Welburn Avenue, between 11 p.m. June 28 and 11:15 a.m. June 29.

A thief or thieves stole a Motorola cell phone and miscellaneous CDs valued at $300 from a car on Murray Avenue, between 8 p.m. June 27 and 1 a.m. June 28.

Injury accident

A minor-injury collision occurred at the intersection of Princevalle and First streets, 1:10 p.m. June 26.

Grand theft

A thief or thieves stole a bank bag with about $2,200 inside it from behind the counter at South Valley National Bank on Monterey Street, 2:30 p.m. June 26.

A thief or thieves stole a Coach purse valued at $1,000 and a black leather Coach wallet valued at $50 on 10th Street, 3:45 p.m. June 28.

A thief or thieves stole a Compaq Presario laptop valued at $399, an 8-gigabyte iPod Nano valued at $150, a 6-gigabyte iTouch valued at $300, a silver Cybershot digital camera valued at $230, a Blackout softball bat valued at $300, a Demarini F2 softball bat valued at $230, a Sony W760A cell phone valued at $230, a gold Rawlings glove valued at $95 and a pair of Jordan XIII shoes valued at $70 from Crawford Drive, between 12:01 p.m. June 19 and 8:30 a.m. June 20.

Vehicle tampering

A person was seen opening the rear passenger door of a silver 2005 Volkswagen in the 6800 block of Monterey Street, 3:57 p.m. June 26. The owner wasn’t sure if anything was taken.

An unidentified person tampered with a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe on Howard Avenue, 1 a.m. June 27.

Vandalism

Two juveniles kicked dents in the side of a 1997 Ford on Uvas Park Drive and Wren Avenue, causing $1,200 in damage, 8:06 p.m. June 26. The owner knows the juveniles.

An unidentified person peeled off paint on the driver’s side and hood of a Volkswagen on Kern Avenue, causing $3,000 in damage, between 8:30 p.m. June 25 and 7 a.m. June 26.

An unidentified person vandalized property on Gurries Drive, between 12:01 p.m. June 29 and 8:30 a.m. June 30.

Missing juvenile

A runaway juvenile, who was not a risk, was reported on West Eight Street, 3 p.m. June 26.

Assault

An unidentified person was attacked by several suspects while attending a house party on Chestnut Street, 10:06 p.m. June 26. The suspects fled the scene upon police arrival.

Found property

An unidentified person found pair of bikes on Tatum Avenue and Wren Avenue, 3:30 a.m. June 28.

An unidentified person found a white handkerchief, women’s nylons, a bra and a Timberline folding pocking knife on Trenton Place, between 2 p.m. June 26 and 1 a.m. June 28. No one was seen or heard nearby at the time.

An unidentified person found drug paraphernalia in a bedroom at an elderly parent’s residence on Gaunt Avenue, 9:55 p.m. June 28. All parties requested items to be confiscated and destroyed.

An unidentified person found a small safe on Pacheco Pass Highway and Silacci Way, 2:20 p.m. June 29.

An unidentified person found a bike on Carmel Street, 7:15 p.m. June 30.

Residential burglary

A burglar or burglars or burglars entered a residence on West Eight Street through a slightly raised garage overhead door and unlocked garage access door while the victim was downstairs watching television and stole a driver’s license, ATM cards, credit cards, a black LG flip phone valued at $150 and $3 in currency, between 12:30 and 2:50 a.m. June 28.

A burglar or burglars or burglars entered a residence on London Drive and ransacked it, between 5 p.m. June 26 and 7:30 p.m. June 28

Road laws

A brown 1998 Jeep alarm was sounding for several hours on El Toro Way and the vehicle was towed, June 27.

No-injury accident

A driver of a black 1995 Honda Civic failed to safely brake her vehicle while approaching a parking spot and collided with a business on the 7900 block of Westwood Drive, 10:54 p.m. June 28.

Robbery

Two robbers took a man’s wallet with $220 in $20 bills from a store on Camino Arroyo, between 2:40 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. June 28. One robber held the victim’s wrists and the other reached for his wallet. Both fled the store.

ID theft

A thief or thieves used personal information to create a water utility account with the city of Streator, Ill., between June 1, 2004, and Feb. 2, 2007. The victim said she has never lived there and believed it was a distant relative.

Assault

An unidentified person was punched in the face and knocked to the ground on Wren Avenue, 1 p.m. June 26.

An unidentified person used bank account information of a Forest Street resident at Next Millennium CCAT Web Apps and charged $99.95 for unknown merchandise without the bank account owner’s permission, June 29.

Counterfeit money

An unidentified person found she had a fictitious $10 bill on Crocker Lane, 4:35 p.m. June 30. She had no idea how or when she received this bill.

An unidentified person found a fake $20 bill on Camino Arroyo, 6:25 p.m. June 30. She turned it over to police.

Lost property

An unidentified person lost property on Alexander Street, 7:20 p.m. April 24.

An unidentified person lost property on Church and First streets, between 11:15 p.m. June 5 and 12:30 a.m. June 6.
