GILROY – Ryan Dequin’s sacrifice fly in the fifth inning lifted Brenda Horder Farmer’s Insurance-Dee’z Nutz past Self Made 3-2 in a key Men’s BB Softball League tilt Monday at Christmas Hill Park.

Henry Huerta’s two-run double accounted for the first two runs as the Nutz improved to 4-1 in first-half play. Greg Lucio Sr. went 3-for-3 for Self Made (1-4).

Frank Vargas Taxes & Financing joined the Nutz atop the standings at 4-1 with an 18-3 victory over Los Gigantes. Roger Hernandez anchored the Vargas offense with a solo home run, two-run triple, single and sacrifice fly. Chris Soto hit two Los Gigantes doubles.

CenCal Auto Body claimed the first-half Men’s C League crown at 5-1 with a forfeit win over So Juicy-Vets (1-5) Monday at Las Animas Park.

DS Builders powered past DeHaro Mechanicals 10-6 to leave both teams at 3-3. Kurtis Salter stroked two doubles and plated three runs for DS Builders. Daniel Fellows turned a triple and single into a pair of Builder runs. Gabriel Hernandez went 4-for-4 for DeHaro Mechanicals.

Feather Haven (5-0) needed three runs in the top of the seventh to turn back the Titans 14-11 in Men’s DD action Tuesday at Las Animas.

Phillip Alosi snapped the 11-11 tie with a single. Ryan McDonnell’s sacrifice fly left him with four RBI for the game. John DeCarlo Jr. went 5-for-5, Tim DeCarlo Jr. went 4-for-4 and Jessie Nunez homered for the winners. Ted Pickeral went 3-for-5 and scored three Titan runs.

Silicon Valley Concrete is 3-1 in second place after a 17-15 edging of the Loco Boys. AJ Martinez belted two home runs, a triple and double to finish with seven Concrete RBI. Mitch Martinez added a solo homer. Nathan Mandrell hit a grand slam and Elias Madrid tripled, doubled and singled for the Loco Boys.

No Soup 4 You outlasted Claddagh Brew Crew 11-4 behind a three-run homer and two-run triple by Lewis Lopez. Val Casillas went 3-for-3 for the Soup. Paul Morrow went 2-for-2 for Claddagh.

Dirty Dozen, 5-0 in Men’s CC play, topped Dutchman’s Pizza 11-7 Wednesday. Chris Green hit two doubles and Donny Gooding popped a two-run single for the Dozen. Cameron Bautista went 3-for-4 and Tommy Cristobal scored twice for Dutchman’s.

Gary Barboa’s three-run homer with two out in the bottom of the seventh earned the Players a 20-19 win over Los Pistoleros. Julio Jimenez and Mike Hernandez each homered for the Players (2-3). Lupe Lemus hit a grand slam and Adrian Ponce added two homers and two doubles for the losers.

Team Wicked (4-1) rolled past Walton & Sons Masonry as Toby Reyes and Isaac Almanza homered. Geoff Graves tripled in one Walton run

Blackout Window Tinting (4-1) topped Cali Auto 18-3 as Art Mancera went 3-for-3 and Terry Smith homered. Taylor Micali hit an RBI-triple for Cali Auto.

Esmeralda Hernandez scored four runs as Goldsmith Seeds upset Garza Sisters & Friends 12-4 in Women’s League play Wednesday at Christmas Hill.

Norma Wendt produced three hits as the Seeds (1-4) dropped Garza Sisters & Friends to 3-1 and a share of first place with Corey’s Girls. Cynthia Garza went 2-for-4 with one RBI for the losers.

Missy Howe hit a grand slam in an eight-RBI effort as Corey’s Girls defeated Ms. BeHaving 33-1. Michelle MacVicar went 2-for-2 for Ms. BeHaving (2-2).
