A juvenile student at Gilroy High School was arrested for possessing marijuana.
 

March 10:
 

A juvenile student at Gilroy High School was arrested for having two knives on campus.

March 13:

Jorge Valdovinos was arrested for allegedly stealing four pounds of ground beef from a business on Chestnut Street. He was reportedly seen on video taking the meat and told police he had been taking things for two months.
 

March 14:
 

A man had his car stolen from in front of his home on Murray Avenue overnight.
 

A woman hit and ran after driving into the back of a 2000 Chevrolet C25 stopped at a red light. The woman driving the struck vehicle hurt her neck and didn’t get information from the offender.
 

March 15:
 

A Miller Avenue man’s roommate stole his wallet and used his credit card to make illegal purchases for $148. 85
 

Amado Cortes Ortiz, 26, of Chestnut Street was arrested at 7:10 p.m. on an outstanding warrant and found to have methamphetamine and a pipe.
 

A man was taken in by a Craigslist rental scam. He deposited $2,300 into a Bank of America account in exchange for a home listing, but the listing was fake.
 

March 16:
 

A car was stolen overnight while it was parked at the Longhouse Restaurant on Monterey Street.
 

Regina Monique Martinez, 34, was arrested after she allegedly was acting bizarre and screaming in public around 4 p.m. at Lewis and Monterey streets. A Gilroy police officer chased her down the railroad tracks and displayed a taser. She then surrendered and was arrested for being in possession of a controlled substance and a dagger.
 

A man robbed the U.S. Bank inside Safeway on First Street at 7:15 p.m.
 

A Ford Mustang damaged a CIty of Gilroy water supply pipe at before 10 p.m. at Santa Teresa Boulevard and Third Street.
 

A dog escaped from a Monterey Street yard around 6 p.m. and bit and scratched a little girl.
 

March 17:
 

Two unknown suspects stole thousands of dollars of Chanel perfume from the Ulta store on Renz Lane at 5:17 p.m. The pair tried to leave the store without paying and while one struggled with store employees, the other took off. They fled in a dark-colored Dodge Charger.
 

Matthew Thomas Baker, 24, was arrested for shoplifting at Ace Hardware on First Street and found to have an outstanding felony arrest warrant. Police said Baker walked off with a flashlight, tools, batteries and a power inverter worth around $100 total.
 

A tan Huffy Beach Cruiser bicycle with a red basket was stolen on Rosanna Street at 4:40 p.m.
 

A car stereo was stolen from a white 2005 Chevrolet SIL overnight on Wren Avenue.
 

A woman’s purse was stolen from the front desk at Bikram Yoga. The man was videotaped (see Gilroy Dispatch Facebook Page for photos).
 

March 18:
 

A woman’s home on El Cerrito Way was burglarized around 5 a.m. and someone took her purse, which was on the kitchen table.
 

A man was assaulted and robbed before 7 p.m. at West 8th and Eigleberry streets. Two men asked him if he could fix their car. The three hung out for a half hour smoking marijuana and then the two punched him in the face and stole his wallet. He was treated at Saint Louise Regional for a broken nose. Morgan Hill Police found the white Honda the men were driving and arrested one of them, a juvenile. The other is still hiding.
 

March 19:
 

Two suspects stole $1,500 of shirts from Calvin Klein on Arroyo Circle. The duo put dozens of  shirts in plastic bags they brought with them.
 

March 20:
 

A car was broken into at 1 p.m. on Arroyo Circle and $1,500 of camera equipment was stolen.
 

March 21:
 

A car was broken into at 4:15 p.m. on Arroyo Circle and a backpack and books were stolen. The car’s windows were smashed. An hour later another car was burglarized on Leavesley Road, where a suitcase and clothing were stolen.
