Christopher High’s Peter Hilkene tied for third with a 42 at the season opening Tri-County Athletic League Avalley Division golf meet at Salinas Golf and Country Club on Monday.
The Cougars finished third overall with a team score of 258. Gilroy High, which will host the next meet, placed sixth (277). Both Salinas was first with 219, followed by Alvarez (234) in second, Alisal in fourth (268) and North Monterey County in fifth (268).
Olrick Breboneria of North Salinas was the medalist at even par 36.
Eargle Ridge will be the next site March 19.
