Gallery Morgan Hill will present its first Open Juried Show from May 7 through June 7.
For the show, juror Elsie Dill, an award-winning California artist, chose 23 pieces from about 40 submitted works. The art that was submitted covered a broad range of styles and media.
At the Gala Show Reception, scheduled for Saturday from 6pm to 8pm at the gallery, ribbons and cash awards will be given for first through fourth places, and four works will receive honorable mention ribbons. The artwork is available for purchase.
Gallery Morgan Hill is located at 17490 S. Monterey Road, near the corner of First and Monterey streets in the Downtown Mall in Morgan Hill. In addition to showing artwork, the gallery offers workshops, art and craft classes and paint outs.
It is open from 11am to 5:30pm Tuesday through Friday and from 10:30am to 4:30pm Saturday and Sunday. For more information, call (408) 776-7990.
