After a May 3 Dispatch story reported that Councilman Peter Arellano does not use his city-paid cell phone, the city website has since been updated to list his personal cell phone.
The city canceled Arellano’s cell phone late last week, according to City Clerk Shawna Freels.Â
Arellano is glad that this issue got cleared up, as he said he did not know that the city still paid for his cell phone, which he hadn’t used in “years.”
The public may now reach Arellano on his personal cell at 408-621-9415.
