Choirs from the Gilroy and Christopher high schools will be perform their fall concerts.

The Gilroy and Christopher high school choirs will present their annual Pops concert at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 23.

To accommodate the large audience turnout, this popular concert will be held for the first time at Gilroy Gardens Amphitheater, located at 3050 Hecker Pass Rd. in Gilroy.

The annual Pops concert showcases a colorful repertoire of chart toppers, and is the last joint high school choir performance of the year. This years’ concert theme is “Transportation,” with a lineup that includes numbers such as “Yellow Submarine,” “These Boots Are Made For Walking,” “Born To Be Wild,” “Life Is A Highway,” “Leader Of The Pack,” “Little Deuce Coupe” and much more. Approximately 245 singers from five different choirs will be accompanied by a live band and brass ensemble.

Entry is a $5 donation at the gate. Parking is free; concessions will be available for purchase.
