Anritsu rallied past the Sweepers 13-12 Thursday to remain unbeaten in the Men’s Fall EE Softball League standings at Las Animas Park.
The Sweepers, one of three teams at 2-4 in third place in the six-team league, built an 11-9 lead after six innings. Kris Orre hit a two-run home run and Joseph Arde, Dave Pinheiro and Isaiah Davis each provided three hits for the Sweepers.
Andy Alarcon’s one-out sacrifice fly for Anritsu (6-0) in the top of the seventh created an 11-11 tie. Ben Hartshorn hit a two-run homer to complete the comeback. Jaime Flores went 3-for-3 for the winners.
No Soup 4 You (5-1) turned back Gilroy Thunder 24-11. Ralph Ortez plated six runs with two Soup home runs. Sam Juarez went 4-for-4 for the winners. Sebastian Van Deren and James Smart each went 3-for-4 for Thunder.
Cross Ministries scored 13 runs in the first inning and held on to defeat Claddagh Brew Crew 24-11, leaving both clubs at 2-4. Ryan Perryman went 4-for-4 with a home run for Cross Ministries. Sergio Diaz and Sam May hit consecutive homers in the winner’s first frame. Danny Russo went 4-for-4 and Rich Gallardo and Mike Keith each went 3-for-4 for Claddagh.
Burch Please extended its winning streak to five games Thursday in Men’s E play at Christmas Hill Park with an 11-6 decision over Trevino Brothers Construction.
Juan Contreras went 3-for-3 with a sacrifice fly and Joel Gaeta and Cesar Vasquez each went 3-for-4 for the 5-1 winners. Bubba Castaneda powered a solo home run and Joe Forestieri netted a two-run single for Trevino Brothers.
VFW Bingo moved to 4-2 with a 10-5 win over the Loco Boys. VFW Bingo erased a 4-3 deficit in the fifth inning with four runs. Julio Zavala hit a three-run home run and Steve Lemberger went 4-for-4 for the winners. Aljay Davis homered in a 3-for-3 effort and Daniel Vasquez went 3-for-4 for the Loco Boys (1-5).
The God Squad joined Trevino Brothers in third place at 3-3 by outlasting the Lost Boyz 9-8. Abe Burciaga’s solo home run with two out in the bottom of the seventh earned the God Squad the decision. David Lira went 3-for-3 for the Squad. Bryce Wilson collected a triple and two singles for the Lost Boyz.
Out 2 Play trimmed Guts & Glory 13-9 Sunday at Las Anima in a showdown of unbeaten Co-Rec Fall League teams.
Melissa Garcia’s RBI-single keyed a five-run uprising for Out 2 Play in the first inning. AJ Martinez doubled and scored as Guts & Glory produced two runs in the sixth to trail 9-8. Out 2 Play added a four-run sixth, helped by a two-run double by Ernie Payan.
Payan finished with three extra-base hits for the 5-0 winners. Martinez went 4-for-5 for the 5-1 losers.
Team Rush scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to upend Pacheco Pass Produce 8-7. Matt Hernandez, Jazmine Perez and Graig Martinez each hit safely and scored in the seventh for 4-1 Rush. Shea Adams homered for Pacheco Pass Produce.
Hi-Energy Networks (4-2) defeated Anritsu 19-7 as Marco Lopez and Shawna Snakenberg each collected four hits. John Trennary scored four runs for the winners. Tommy Muth stroked a triple, double and single for Anritsu.
Storm rolled past En Tu Cara 24-12 behind two Dave Martinez home runs and a 3-for-3 effort from Lewis Lopez. Kenny Hopf went 3-for-3, Johnny Castaneda homered and Angelica Garcia scored three runs for En Tu Cara.
