South Valley Symphony will perform a series of five concerts and
also host a jazz concert scheduled for March 18, 2006 at the newly
finished theater located at the Ann Sobrato High School theater in
Morgan Hill during its 32nd season, which kicks off Saturday, Oct.

A mariachi concert is also tentatively scheduled for May 5 at St. Mary’s church in Gilroy.

Season ticket prices for adults are $90 for the series of seven concerts and also will include a wine and cheese tasting event scheduled for the Pops concert at Bonfante Gardens. Tickets for seniors age 62 and older are $75 for the season, and for students ages 12 to 18 the price is $50.

Advance payments may be made with checks payable to the South Valley Symphony, Inc. and mailed to P.O. Box 1347, Gilroy, CA 95021.

The Symphony’s upcoming season will include performances at Mission San Juan Bautista , as well as the Bonfante Gardens amphitheater, according to music director and conductor, Henry Mollicone, in announcing the 2005-2006 concert schedule.

Mollicone announced the following concert dates and musical selections as follows (subject to change):

• Saturday, Oct. 15, at 7:30pm, Favorite Classics I, at the Gavilan Theater.

• Saturday, Dec. 17 at 4pm, a Holiday Concert, at the Gavilan Theater.

• Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006 at 4pm, a Family Concert, at the Gavilan Theater.

• Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 7:30pm, A Piano, A Saxophone, A Symphony, at the San Juan Bautista Mission.

• Friday, June 2 at 7:30pm, POPS! – Bonfante Gardens Amphitheater.
