You know it’s important to keep your head still during your golf
swing. It’s important because if your head is moving back and
forth, it is difficult to keep focused on the ball and thus execute
a solid shot.
You know it’s important to keep your head still during your golf swing. It’s important because if your head is moving back and forth, it is difficult to keep focused on the ball and thus execute a solid shot.
But did you know that the weight of your head can actually move your center of gravity? If you keep your head down and it stays behind the ball too long, then your weight will stay back and the result will often be a divot. If you attempt to transfer your weight towards the target on the downswing and your head moves forward while you are doing this, then your weight will now be too far in front and you will often just clip the top of the ball.
The secret is to transfer your weight using your lower body and still keep your head over the ball. This insures that your momentum carries your weight through your left side, but also gives you balance and full vision of the ball at impact.
