CALLER 1: Yes,This is great for baseball and the San Francisco Giants. To have Barry Bonds come back to play at this level and do what he did is a beautiful sight to see. It is far more harder than the way he makes it look. To be out for just about the entire season and come back in the middle of September, step into the batter’s box with 40,000 fans on their feet. And what do you know, Bonds drives a towering fly ball into deep left center inches away from a two-run homer.
This is really something for this generation to be witnessing. You can say, yeah, he might have used steroids so he carries the label as a cheater. Steroids does not give you talent nor does it give you hand-eye coordination. What we are seeing being done is truly God-given talent.
I think Bonds gets a negative response from so-called baseball fans because he might not answer some questions the way we as fans would like to hear him answer, or that he has an attitude problem. They guy is doing the best he knows how. I’m sure he doesn’t get up every morning and say, ‘OK, let’s see, I’m going to go out today and just give attitude to everybody.’ No, he wants to answer the right questions the right way with the right attitude, so he is going it the way he knows how.
We are all human and Barry is no exception. Majority of Americans have at least one person that they work with that they don’t like or might say, I don’t like my co-worker’s attitude. But you still have to work and do your job. So why hate? You only waste your energy and time on hating the way somebody does their job. Just do your job the best way you know how and watch and learn to see how others do theirs.
