Morgan Hill – An Hispanic man in his late 30s or early 40s robbed the main branch of the Wells Fargo Bank in downtown Morgan Hill Tuesday afternoon.

Morgan Hill Police Cmdr. Joe Sampson said details were still unfolding late Tuesday, as officers and federal officials investigated.

“What we do know is that the man apparently simulated a weapon, no actual weapon was seen, and that he fled after he was given $400,” Sampson said.

The man was described as wearing a black baseball cap and officers are studying surveillance tapes and were still searching for the suspect late Tuesday.

No one was injured in the robbery, Sampson said.
