Dear Editor,
Hopefully printing this in the newspaper will get this problem corrected.
I noticed that the lane markings on the access road to the Wal-Mart store seem to be incorrect. This is at the extreme south end of the parking lot, past the auto center. There is a center lane, but it has double yellow lines on both sides.
I thought it was illegal to cross two sets of double yellow lines. I tried to look it up online, but none of the Department of Motor Vehicles samples show a center lane marked this way. It does specify that it is illegal to do a U-turn over two sets of double yellow lines, but doesn’t mention a left turn.
Cars routinely turn left here to enter the lot. Shouldn’t this be marked with the inner lines on each side broken?
