The Gilroy Assistance League announced its 2025 grant recipients during a luncheon on April 23 at Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Gilroy. The event honored local organizations dedicated to improving the lives of children and youth in South Santa Clara County, says a press release from the league.
Attendees included grant recipients, league members and community guests.
Gilroy Assistance League President Piper Pluckhan said, “We are truly honored to support the important work of these grantees. Their dedication and impact inspire us all. Together—through collaboration, passion and commitment—we continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.”
Founded in 1959, the Gilroy Assistance League is driven by local women committed to uplifting youth in the region. Since 1993, the organization has awarded more than $435,000 in grants, furthering its mission to foster opportunity, hope and growth for children and youth in South County, the press release says.
This year, the League awarded a record-breaking $35,010, reflecting the community’s needs and the success of its fundraising efforts.
“The 2025 grant cycle revealed increased needs for a wide range of youth programs,” said Paula Goldsmith, Grant Committee Chair. “Our members reviewed and ranked 45 applications, making for a highly competitive selection process. The funds were made possible by our signature event, the annual Home + Garden Tour & Artisan Market.
“We hope this year’s Tour will be our most successful yet, enabling greater support for youth programs in 2026.”
