Dear Friends and Neighbors, After long and thoughtful consideration, I have decided to announce my candidacy for Gilroy City Council District 5.
It’s been four years since I began the journey of representing you on the City Council. So much has happened and so many important decisions have been made over this time.
We set up District Elections, in order to provide residents with direct representation; created an Economic Development Department with a director to provide pathways for economic growth for existing and new businesses; a fourth fire station; Pickle Ball Courts in Las Animas Park; and continued investing in our city street maintenance program, just to name a few.
It has been an honor of a lifetime to act on your behalf.
The council’s dais offers a unique perspective on the issues and challenges we face as a community. While the job can be daunting, I have remained committed to be your voice through it all.
I’ll continue to work with council members, the business community and residents to find solutions to make Gilroy the best place to live and work.
I am eager to earn District 5’s approval and to communicate a vision for how I plan to faithfully represent you and serve the best interests of our district.
Most importantly, I want to thank all of those who have backed me in the past. I could not have made it this far without you.
I’ve always had a servant’s heart and a deep commitment to Gilroy. For my campaign to be successful, I’ll need your continued encouragement. I would be honored to have your support and vote in November!
