My recollection is very similar to that of Columnist. Robert Mitchell’s. As I also recall, it was individuals like Senators Bob Graham, Patrick Leahy and Robert Byrd who had the political will to “patriotically” oppose giving the current administration a “blank check” to invade this alleged “threat” to world peace.
Sadly, as it is turning out, these noble senators were right. As an old song said – “War, what is it good for? Absolutely nothing.”
Let’s hope a new administration next year can right the wrong perpetrated by the current “warrior princess” and her misguided cohorts.
